The archive is a Colorado-anchored national tour: four separate Front Range stops, and single crossings out to Oregon and both coasts that account for most of the mileage. Every stop is named; in the Front Range cluster the names can brush at national zoom, and zooming in spreads them. Nights played per city live in each dot’s tooltip. Points are CITY centroids, not venue addresses. The basemap is live Mapbox (Standard style, night preset, monochrome) you can pan and zoom; dots and routing are a d3 layer drawn on top of it, and without a map token the same chart renders on an Albers USA projection instead. Distances are great-circle between cities, not road or air miles actually travelled.
